To me MGS4 seems like a game a mature person would enjoy.
Gears seems like a good game but much more juvenile than MGS4.

As a PS3 owner, I thought the original Gears of War defined what next-gen games should look like. From what I've seen so far Gears 2 isn't much of an improvement over the original Gears.
I am confident that it will look much better when it is released but for now, it isn't much better than Resistance 2, Uncharted and MGS4 (infact it is graphically inferior to some of games listed).

The Xenos isn't better than the RSX because they both have strengths and weaknesses and there isn't much of a difference in power for one to be CLEARLY superior. I think the Xbox 720 will use a CELL-like architecture with slightly higher clock speed and more SPEs than the PS3 and I think Microsoft will keep the unified shader architecture and about 1 gig plus RAM.
I think Microsoft will go with CELL because it offers a lot of power for its price when compared to Intel Quad Cores and developers will be more familiar with the CELL architecture and will be better at parallel programming.

The PS3 CPU is superior to the 360's but the superiority of either RSX or Xenos GPUs is in question. The full utilization of either CPU is up to the developer.
Edit: I agree Chidj2. The Cell and RSX combination is the bomb. They work so well together. The Cell can help with the stuff you listed and the RSX can access the superfast 3.2GHZ XDR memory. The PS3 has a lot of power and potential but the 360 is no slacker either. Gotta give credit where credit is due.

Do not condone Microsoft's unloyal decisions.
They screwed over 24 million with the original xbox and millions more if they don't extend their 360 warranty past 2010 (for early adopters). I was screwed with the first Xbox but I'm not making the mistake again.

The Ps3 GPU can access the main memory if it needs it. The sytem memory is super fast( 3.2 Ghz vs 700mhz)- that's more than 4 times faster.

As a PS3 owner, I would welcome Halo 3. I thought it looked good. Face it, the only reason you guys hate Halo 3 was because it was hyped beyond reason not because of the gameplay.
